Sean O'Brien decides to forego the big money in France for a mixture of financial and personal considerations. Perhaps there's hope for us yet!

Yes well done Sean O'Brien, he has probably taken a decision that will pay big dividends. Unlike our lads in Wales, Sean is playing for a Region that has a good relationship with his governing Union. He also has job satisfaction in playing for a side which is at the top of British and Irish Rugby, and will no doubt be paid in euros which gives him easy transit throughout most of Europe. When the time comes for his retirement, the loyalty credits will count well on his CV opening the door for a number of positions in the I.R.F.U. and I.R.B. and of course the regions.

All the Irish Province s are 100% owned and run by the Union - is this the way to maintain good relations ?
