New Scrum Engagement Sequence
What's the verdict? Anyone noticed any specific changes? Improvement or not?
Just asking because I've not seen any rugby since THAT last Lions game and as a ref will be implementing it shortly.
It'll have very little impact on the age groups I officiate for but I just wondered what you learned folks on here make of them from what you've seen so far?

Re: New Scrum Engagement Sequence
Saw highlights of the two bledisoe cup games on youtube and the scrums looked more like my notion of what it should be. The was not hit and collapse, the scrums seemed to be steady and the ball had to be hooked. IMHO it looked like there is a much higher probability of a successful completion of the scrum than before.

The only game I've seen was reffed by Nigel and we all know his knowledge of scrum activity is very low, but apart from too much time being spent getting to the engage they did look stable AND WORKED.
